We round the day off with a visit to Inverness - the 'capital' of the Highlands - a vibrant, bustling, modern city at the top of the Great Glen.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Strathpeffer - a former health resort, the Pump Room has recently been restored and the Highland Museum of Childhood at the Victorian train station looks at the experiences of growing up in the Highlands and is a great way to explore more about the local history and traditions of this wonderful region.
Or, why not join our optional excursion to Ullapool, a quaint port on the shores of Loch Broom with whitewashed cottages and a pretty harbour.

Day 3: Ullapool
This optional excursion is available to pre-book or you can book during your tour.
The Black Isle is where we’re off to today, a rather special and mysterious corner of Scotland. A peninsula, surrounded on three sides by expanses of water, is home to charming towns and villages, a pod of resident bottlenose dolphins and ancient history.
We call at Fortrose, which overlooks the Moray Firth and historical Cromarty, the Highlands’ best-preserved town.
Return home.
